Father's Day

Father's Day started on Friday for Daddy when Parker came home from Angels with the following bookmark. That is his actual footprint. The bookmark says: "When you're tired of reading your book, just mark the spot with my little foot - Happy Father's Day"

Then on Saturday night, Parker made Father's Day cards (with a little help from Mommy) for Grandpa, Grandaddy, Daddy and Uncle Daniel. Instead of just getting one sheet of construction paper and folding it in half, Parker insisted on getting two big pieces and using lots of tape to go down the sides and make the pages into a card. Then he decorated with stickers and hand-drawn pictures as well as tracings inside the cards of Parker's hand and Wesley's hand.

And then Father's Day continued today with more presents made at church. The bank on the left was made during Sunday school and the photo in the frame was done during Children's Church and the frame says "I love my dad."

After church, we went to Grandmommy and Grandaddy's house to celebrate Father's Day and Mommy's birthday (coming up on the 26th). There Daddy received his hand-made Parker card and the rest of his presents from Mommy and the boys - a Pink Floyd t-shirt with one of his favorite album cover pictures on it and a hard drive enclosure for the computer. All in all, a pretty good day!
