Easter Sunday Morning Celebrations

 Easter Sunday started at the beach for sunrise worship. Super well attended as always! Such a beautiful experience and a great crowd. 

After worship it was time for a few pictures. Including some pictures with our family that showed up - Daryl's cousin Kim and her husband Drew are in town visiting her parents and surprised us at the beach. 

Afterwards we went to the Contemporary service all together and then Parker and I headed home so I could make lunch and the rest of the crew finished up the day with the Traditional service. 

Davis Gets Confirmed

Easter was extra special this year because Davis was confirmed as a member of Grace United Methodist Church, after a yearlong process. He joined along with three other teenagers. They had a little party for them before the 9am worship service. 

The gentleman to Davis' left is his membership sponsor Seth Kling. 

We had some special confirmation gifts for Davis at home too including this cool shirt from Epcot and then his very own gold necklace and cross charm.

 We are very proud of this young man!

Easter Sunday at Grace Venice

It all started early in the morning, just like the first Easter Sunday, but this sunrise worship was at Venice Beach. Third year in a row and over 500 people worshipping together! 

 

 Then I took the boys to breakfast at Starbucks and we changed clothes before the 9am worship service. We got some other family pictures after worship too. 

Daryl, Wesley and Davis stayed for the late service, which had almost 300 people in it! 

By the time everyone got home I had lunch ready (ribs, mashed sweet potatoes and green beans) and then it was time for Easter presents. Davis got a new Gator's champsionship shirt and we upgraded the necklaces for the older boys for their confirmation crosses. 

We finished the day with naps and then some relaxing on the back porch. 

Easter Eggs on Parade

On Monday, I got four fillings at the dentist and then went to meet Amy at Disney World for our annual Easter Egg Tour. We started at the Grand Floridian resort. They upped their game this year - huge eggs with cut-outs, things that spin or light up. And some were just as elaborate on the back as the front.

And then we rode the monorail to check out the eggs at the Contemporary. I loved the Toy Story Egg(s) and the tribute to the Muppets.

We walked over to Magic Kingdom and caught a bus to Yacht and Beach Club. We stopped at Yacht Club first. 

And then our final stop was at Beach Club, which is also where we had dinner at Cape May - they had an awesome allergy friendly buffet!
