Evening Walks

On one of our evening walks this past week we spotted this rainbow - and there is a hint of a second one above it.

Sightseeing in Bradenton - Riverwalk

Friday Daryl and I took a walk along the Bradenton Riverwalk. It was a nice 2 mile roundtrip stroll. They've done a lot with art and public spaces along the way.

Monday in the Mountains

Daryl and I got out on Monday for a hour to walk around Meadow Lake. It was so cold and it was so pretty.

When we went to pickup dinner at Slopeside Tavern next to the ski slope, they were putting out a fresh layer of snow - it's going to get even colder tonight.

Beach Time

Parker and I went for a beach walk on Monday night. When we got there everything was cloudy and we didn't think we would get to see much.

And then the sun came out and it looked so good.

Good Friday Beach Walk

The five of us had dinner on the key on Friday night and then Wesley left to get his haircut. The rest of us went for a two mile sunset walk on the beach.

Thanksgiving Break - Part Four

We started Daryl's birthday with a beach walk of over 3 miles.
The weather on the key was absolutely beautiful.

And when we pulled into the driveway at home we were greeted in the driveway by these lovely sandhill cranes.

Beach Time

I was off today but Daryl had to work. I took myself to the beach for a relaxing walk. The island is slowly making progress. And it was so nice to be out in the sun and hear the waves.

Date Day Beach Walk

Friday Daryl and I got pedicures and massages and grabbed lunch at Oak and Stone. And then later on, we took a sunset walk on Siesta Key. So much damage still but signs of hope and life. We just have a lot less beachfront than we used to thanks to sand erosion.

This mammoth tree used to sit next to the house at the Point of Rocks house. People used to hang shells in the branches.
