Renewal Leave - Part Fourteen - Disney Day #1

On Tuesday, Parker, Wesley and I headed for a Disney for a few days. It was so hot that there was a heat advisory!  All my makeup had melted off by the time I got this picture in the first ride line (Tower of Terror).

Then the boys and I rode the Rock N Roller Coaster (newly themed with Muppets). It was Wesley's first time on the revamped ride. We did the single rider line so we didn't get to sit together but we did save time in line.

Then we grabbed our new passholder magnets - Kermit the Frog!

And then for our final ride of the day, we did Rise of the Resistance. Always so impressive!

We ducked out of the park to go check into our hotel. I got a deal on Bonnet Creek for 2 nights. We ended up with an awesome location in Tower 5, right next to the entrance for the lazy river.

After cooling off and getting some naps, we headed back out to Disney Springs for some shopping, dinner at D-Luxe burger plus allergy snacks. I finished up the day with some time in the lazy river.

Spring Break Part Seven

Saturday was our last morning and we finished up with a character breakfast at the Polynesian Hotel - Ohana style. I had another great allergy meal here and a doughnut!

While we were eating, we were visited by Lilo and Stitch, as well as Pluto and Mickey.

We took a quick trip to Disney Springs after and then headed home.

Unfortunately, Parker's car died on campus after a quick stop to pick up some things. We had it towed to a local shop and then crammed everyone in the other car and drove back to Sarasota.

Spring Break Part One

Saturday we checked into the Bonnet Creek Resort on Disney property for Spring Break. Our apartment is located in tower 2 and this is the view across the lake of some of the other towers. We went for a walk around the lake and there are all kinds of turtles and koi fish out there.

We have a nice two bedroom unit on the 6th floor. From our balcony you can look out over the parking lot towards Caribbean Beach resort and see the Tower of Terror in the distance. From the boys bedroom you can see the top of Spaceship Earth in Epcot and clearly watch the fireworks every night.

On Sunday morning we started at House of Blues for brunch and then wandered around Disney Springs for a while. I got a scone from Erin McKennas!

Later that evening, Parker, Daryl and I went over to Epcot to try out the new Geo82 Bar in Spaceship Earth. It was really cool and had great appetizers and drinks. I had a glass of Portugese wine and hummus with lentil chips. Daryl got a bourbon flight and Parker got a cocktail and they split a charcuterie board.

We walked around in the drizzly rain for a bit later and got our steps in before heading back to the apartment.
