Wesley Goes A Visiting

The last two weeks, Wesley has accompanied Mommy as she goes to make her weekly shut-in visits to the nursing homes and private residences (this was something that Mommy and Parker also did at Tice). Wesley has been really turning on the charm as he visits; even the most solemn looking nurses in the nursing homes begin to "Ooh" and "Aah" over his blue eyes, flyaway hair and big toothy smile. A lot of the older people don't get much interaction with babies and are thrilled to see him clap, hear him "talk", and in some cases get a chance to hold him or watch him crawl. Today we went to visit five people and our last visit was to Miss Alice and her daughter Joanna (both of whom are battling cancer). Wesley especially enjoyed this visit because these ladies have two little dogs. He was fascinated by them until Mommy sat him down on the floor and they scooted up to sniff him. Then Wesley started to wail. But eventually his curiosity got the better of him and he started crawling around and trying to follow the dogs, who thankfully tolerated his grabby hands very well.
