Fun Things

On Thursday night, Mommy and Daddy went to the Forum in Tampa to see Elton John and Billy Joel in concert. Daddy had bought Mommy the tickets as part of her Christmas present. Miss Rael came over to babysit and after dinner out we got to the Forum just in time for the concert. Only problem was, someone was sitting in our seats. Turns out the Forum doublesold our seats and two others near us. Daddy had to go down with our tickets and one of the other people who bought tickets to see a supervisor in the box office. He missed 45 minutes of the concert - the first four duets between Elton and Billy and the first two songs of Elton's solo set. We missed most of Elton's third song together as the ushers took us down from the nosebleed section to the floor - a $100 upgrade per ticket because of all the problems we experienced. Once we got to the floor, our experience was completely awesome - they put on a heck of a show!!!!

Then today we headed out this afternoon as a family for our annual pilgrimage to the Strawberry Festival in Plant City. We had lots of fun strolling around and eating! Here's Parker at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Booth with the old patrol car and in uniform.

"The mans" at the Red Caboose.

Parker and Mommy at the famous Parkesdale Booth playing King and Queen for the day.

A race car cake over in one of the exhibit halls.

We also went over to the kiddie ride area and let the boys tackle some rides. Parker was much braver about all of the rides this year (he did 6 including the fun house) and would wait in line by himself holding his tickets this year. Later on, even Wesley got in some fun on the Super Slide.

And of course we finished up our day with some strawberry shortcake from the famous St. Clement's Catholic Church booth.

We ended up with one very full and satisfied big boy and one very tired little boy!
