At church on Sunday morning, someone gave Mommy a bundt cake. The boys know that Mommy's birthday is coming up later this month and Wesley was convinced that this was a birthday cake for Mommy. When we got home they found a bag of birthday candles on the kitchen counter that Daddy had used for a children's sermon illustration at church (about Pentecost and the birthday of the church). So Wesley decorated Mommy's cake and the boys insisted that we light the candles and sing Happy Birthday to Mommy. So sweet!
When we blew them all out we had to open the door so the smoke didn't set the smoke detector off! And it turns out some of them were trick candles.....and kept sparking and relighting which really freaked Wesley out. But eventually all was well and the boys got to enjoy some cake.
