Grandma Update

Grandma seems to be doing alright now at home - today marks day 8 that she's been back in her house. The x-ray from the left hip last week showed evidence of cancer and risk of a fracture. So Grandma will be having preventive surgery at Moffitt on June 20th in order to put a rod in her left leg from her hip to her knee. She should only br in the hospital 2-3 days and able to bear full weight on it the day after surgery. She's allowed now to put full weight on her right leg as long as it is in the boot. After she has some radiation on that leg, she will be able to take the boot off.
