A Big Ordeal

Friday night we dropped Parker off at Camp La-No-Che on the coldest night of our Florida winter so far. He was there for his Order of the Arrow Ordeal candidate campout. No talking for over 24 hours, rationed food, and physical labor (they did service projects around camp). The first night he had to sleep in his sleeping bag on a tarp on the ground outside.

Saturday evening after dinner we got this picture by text from one of the older boys from the Boy Scout Troop who went out to check on Parker and the other two boys from Troop 143. They all passed!!! Congratulations to Parker and his friends Barak and KC!!!!

Sunday morning one of us had to attend the parent orientation at the close of the campout. Parker received his packet with handbook and patches and calendar of events for the spring.

Look at this handsome smiling face! We are SO very proud of Parker on this achievement!!!
