March for Our Lives

After the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday we headed over as a family to Lake Sumter Landing Square in The Villages to join up with one of the March for Our Lives Event. Parker had been asking us about doing something and we felt strongly that we wanted to stand in solidarity with all of the students across the country, honoring the Parkland 17, and asking for better gun control laws. We even wore our clergy collars for the first time.

We were impressed by the young people from The Villages charter school who organized this event, even though it was not sanctioned by their school. Several hundred people showed up to march and for the rally afterwards. It was heartwarming to see all of the retired people out their in support of students.
