National History Day

For the National History Day project in Florida, Parker wrote a paper on the Berlin Wall. It won second place overall in the Carver Middle School competition which qualified him to go to the District Event. That was held last Saturday in Clermont. Since we had the Lenten Retreat, one of the other church moms whose daughter was also in the competition drove him down. We made it in time for the open house and also the awards ceremony.

Parker did not place high enough here to go on to the state wide competition. But we are super proud of him and all of the kids from Carver who qualified. This social studies trained Mama's heart is super happy when kids do well with history!
