Reappointed

"Announcement Sunday: It was announced in all our worship services this morning that the Revs. Daryl and Debbie Allen are being reappointed to Community and that the Rev. Loida Divine will be taking family leave starting June 17 in order to help care for her mother. We are praying for Pastor Loida in this new season of life and ministry with her family. It was also announced this morning that the Rev. C.J. Hill will be coming to Community to be our new Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Missions. Pastor C.J. is an ordained elder in the Florida conference and over the last ten years has served churches in Jacksonville, Lakeland and Bonita Springs. He and his wife Amy have three children. We invite you to pray for and reach out to them with a very warm welcome as they prepare to come and be part of our Community family in July." 

Our Allen family of five is absolutely thrilled to be coming back to Community for another year of ministry! And while we are definitely sad to see Loida go, we are excited to welcome the Hill family to Fruitland Park. We first met them almost nine years ago at the Clergy Kids and Family retreat at Warren Willis camp. Please keep our church family in your prayers over the next couple of months as we prepare for this transition.
