Happy Anniversary Cruise

While the boys were away at camp, we took a short cruise to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Our honeymoon was a weeklong cruise aboard the Paradise out of Miami; this time we took a four day cruise aboard the Liberty out of Port Canaveral. It's the biggest of the Carnival ships we've been on over the years and very nice.

Our room on the Empress Deck (7) with a balcony.

View off the balcony of the port. That's the Norwegian Sun across the way.

We started off our afternoon with food - for Daryl, no trip is complete without several of the Guy Fieri burgers from the Lido deck.

The atrium over the lobby was about 8 stories high. There was beautiful string music every evening in the lobby that we could hear from our room.

The main Venetian lounge was three stories tall.

At dinner on the first night.

Day two was our day at sea. We had cancelled our excursions because of my foot so on this day we had a couples hot stone massage. I got a pedicure too and Daryl got a haircut and a facial as well as a beard trim in the spa too. The view from the pedicure station was straight out over the water.

Our two story dining room. We had a private table along the edge of the balcony on the second floor.

Happy 20 years to us!

After dinner, we watched Captain Marvel on the lido deck up on the big screen by moonlight!

The second morning was our day in Naussau. We had breakfast on our balcony and then got off the boat and walked all around for a coupe of hours shopping and looking around. We enjoyed watching the ship leave port in the afternoon from the balcony too.

The third morning was our day in Freeport. This is the industrial harbor here and there's not much to do in port, so we spent about 90 minutes walking around and then headed up to the spa for another massage and out to the Serenity deck (adults only) for some times in the jacuzzis and a nap.

Our final morning - watching the sunrise from the balcony as we came back into Port Canaveral.

We had a lovely time away. It was really good to get to spend time
with each other without the boys around.
