It feels like we learn something new everyday in this gardening adventure. We've learned that sunflowers over 6 feet tall are very susceptible to hard pouring rain (we've lost two that way in the last week). We've learned that we should have staked our lima bean and green bean plants - because they are so heavy with bean growth that they are falling over.
We've learned that it takes okra a lot longer to grow. We are just getting blooms on these plants that are almost 5 feet tall.
And finally we've learned if you pick a green jalapeƱo and leave it on the counter for a few days, it turns red!
