Friday we dropped the kids off with Grandmommy for an overnight trip and then we headed to Disney for an overnight trip for our 22nd wedding anniversary.
We stayed at the Dolphin hotel on Disney property. It's part of a group of hotels near Epcot, within walking distance: Swan, Dolphin, Beach Club, Yacht Club and Boardwalk. It took a bit for our room to be ready so we hung out in the lobby and then we ended up with a beautiful corner room on the 4th floor that had two balconies and views of the pool and resorts.
Dinner was awesome and did not disappoint. Ottawa Apple cocktails, cheese soup (Daryl) and steamed mussels (me) to start. They even had gluten free bread and non dairy butter for me.
Entrees were both filet mignon - Daryl's on top of a mushroom risotto and mine with steamed carrots and maple whiskey brussel sprouts.
We were so full we ended up skipping dessert. We strolled a bit after and rode Soarin and the Land boat ride before walking back to our hotel again, peeking through the Swan hotel lobby. We finished up the night hanging out in one of the hotel's pools and hot tub.
It was a beautiful wonderful evening to celebrate our 22nd anniversary. So glad for the chance to get away and have this time together.
