Easter and Parker's Birthday

Last Sunday was of course Easter Sunday and a big day in our household. Mommy had a sunrise service at 7am, then came home to pickup the boys and head back to church for the pancake breakfast, contemporary worship, Easter egg hunt and the traditional worship service. Parker's choir sang at the second and third services and did a great job with their three songs - the first of which was when the live flower cross was brought up front.

After church in Belleview we hurried home to let the boys egg hunt at Daddy's church. Daddy had an awesome crowd on Sunday - his single biggest Sunday yet with 177 in attendance!!!! After the egg hunt we quickly loaded up the car with all of our packed stuff for vacation and headed home to Seffner to celebrate Easter and Parker's birthday. Here we are in our Easter finery at Grandmommy and Granddaddy's house.
In addition to Grandmommy and Granddaddy and us for lunch, we also got to spend time with Miss Joan, Grannie, Uncle David and Aunt Barbara, Uncle Kelly, Aunt Jani and Uncle Dan as well as Uncle Daniel, Aunt Dawn and the cousins. Parker had requested a rocketship cake for his birthday and Grandmommy did a great job with it (which tied in well with one of our vacation trips this week).

He got lots of awesome presents including Hot Wheels cars that change colors when they get wet and a CARS dinner plate with his picture on it plus so much more. Here are the boys with their Easter bags from Grandmommy and Granddaddy.

And their Easter baskets from us - including a slip 'n slide for Parker and matching hats (Lightning McQueen and Mater from CARS).

Later in the afternoon, we went to over to Grandma and Grandpa's house. The boys opened up their Easter baskets with all kinds of special goodies.

And Parker got to open up his birthday presents - a Monster truck race track that doubles as a storage case and a new Maximum Destruction truck!

The special treat for Parker came after dinner when he got to make his own strawberry shortcake for dessert - and put on as much as whipped cream as he wanted.

After leaving Seffner about 9pm, we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's condo on International Drive in Orlando to spend the next several days of Parker's spring break!
