Bok Tower

So Mommy went to Bok Tower in September when she was helping with the RIM Retreat and she finally just the pictures she took downloaded off her phone. Mommy and Daddy have been here before but it's been a while. When we were in high school/college, we made several field trips to the Black Hills Passion Play in Lake Wales and would always stop to picnic at Bok Tower beforehand. To be honest though, while Mommy remembered that Bok Tower was pretty and neat to explore, she had forgotten just how beautiful it really was. These cell phone pictures don't really do it justice.

The plaque on the tree shows that this tree was planted at the dedication by President Calvin Coolidge. There's another one nearby that his wife planted.

Mr. Bok is buried out on the little island in the lawn in front of the great Brass Door.

The koi fish in the pond out front were huge. And none too happy that Mommy was not doling out the fish treats for sale in the nearby dispenser.
