Corn Maze Fun

Sunday, we made it to the Corn Maze finally.
The boys LOVE this tradition. We've made it 3 of the 4 years we've lived here.
This was our second trip to Timberline Farm in Belleview.

We made two separate trips through the maze.
The boys love this because they each get a turn to be the leader and pick the paths.

But what they love even more than the maze?
The chance to climb and jump off this pile of hay bales.
Over....and over.....and over again!

They got creative later and started doing cannonballs into the pile of hay below.

Then there was the chance to make "corn angels"

We checked out the petting zoo.
Wesley loved identifying the animals and their distinctive sounds.
But he refused to pet anything.

Later we took a hayride around the corn maze and then through what could only be described as their back 40 where cows were grazing in the woods.

There were a few carnival games in the tent.

But there was still more to do.

PONY RIDES.

Parker hasn't been on one since VBS when he was a toddler at Faith in Hudson.
Wesley had never been on one.

For crying out loud, we live in HORSE country in Ocala
and not one of us has been on any kind of horse in the 3.5 years we've lived here.

So they got their chance.

They both really enjoyed it.
At the end of the day it made their top three things behind the haystack (1) and corn maze (2).

The last thing they did before we left was to ride together in the "pig" car behind the tractor.

We had a great afternoon of family fun!
Here's the proof.
When we got home, they cleaned out all of the corn kernels and hay from their shoes and socks.
