Like His Mom and His Dad

When I was a little girl, I always had my nose buried in a book.

Over the last few days this has been the scene around our house, 

in the van and tonight, even in a restaurant.....

He's reading the very first Harry Potter book. It's considered a 6th grade level book. 

If he passes the AR test after reading it, Parker will get 14 points towards his reading score!!!

Thankfully he also enjoys sports and has some athletic ability like his father.  

This past Tuesday night, Parker's Orioles played against the Rookie Padres. 

Parker got a hit in his first at-bat!!!!!! 

In his second at bat, he was walked and eventually brought home by another teammate,

so he got to cross home plate. And he made it count - by sliding home! 

They finally won 14-5.
