Last Friday night was the annual Frosty Festival at school.This is Parker's sixth year at South Ocala and we've never missed a Frosty Festival. Until this year. Daryl found out that Marvel Universe Live was going to be doing shows in Orlando - a live stage show featuring all our favorite superheroes and all kinds of cool special effects. We gave the boys a choice and they opted for superheroes.
We left as soon as school was out to head for Orlando so we could eat and do a little shopping at Ikea before the 7:30pm show. At dinner, our waiter thought we were so cool for all wearing Marvel t-shirts; when we explained where we were headed he was jealous. The show ended up definitely being worth the time and the drive; the boys sat on the edge of their seats throughout the entire 2 hour show! Davis even has a new favorite superhero - Iron Man has now replaced Spiderman as #1.
Twelve Marvel superheroes (Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, Hulk, Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Falcon, Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm and Spiderman) battled several different villains (Loki, Killian, the Chitauri, AIM and more). There were motorcycle stunts, pyrotechnics, and heroes flying through the air.
