Thanksgiving Weekend

Our Thanksgiving time with family and friends was very nice this year. The train going around the carnival in Granddaddy's Christmas village originally belonged to my dad when he was a kid. Wayne reconditioned it after we found it in the garage and put it up. It was so neat for the boys and I to see the train in action.

Daryl's Grannie always made the gravy for Thanksgiving and this year Daryl took his turn. He did a wonderful job!

There was lots of time for playing with the cousins and the other relatives.

And time for naps!

Friday evening the whole gang went out to the Shops at Wiregrass to see their fancy Christmas light display. We spent some time in the bookstore afterwards and Grandmommy made some time for reading.

When it comes to the annual UF vs FSU football game, we are always a house divided. We cheer for the Gator Nation and Daniel's family are all Noles fans. It was a close game but unfortunately this year the victory went to the Noles.

Sunday morning, Parker helped out in worship doing a reading for Hanging of the Greens.

Miss Rael made it up to Ocala for worship while she was home from college in Minnesota. It's been over a year since the last time she was home to visit! It was so good to hang out with her in the afternoon over lunch and at our house. The boys sure do miss their "big sister" and Daryl and I both miss our girl when she is away. She's halfway through her junior year at Hamline University in St Paul with a double major in public health and psychology.
