For the Fourth of July, we headed down into Leesburg for the big county celebration held at the Venetian Gardens park on Lake Harris. We parked on the east side by the billfold where the Leesburg Lightning were playing the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs (it's the Florida Collegiate Summer League). We plan to catch a game later in the season.
We walked around the lake and the park, got free Kona Ice for the kids, grabbed dinner and got some good seats for the fireworks show over the lake. It was a really good display and we had a lot of fun.
