Go Yellow Jackets!

Friday night found us with good weather and so we headed to Leesburg High School stadium to watch the Yellow Jackets play some football! It just so happened they were playing Forest High School from Ocala.

We ran into several church members who came out to watch the game, including some who had kids in the band. We saw the middle school band director from Carver and several teachers from Fruitland Park Elementary. And then Parker ran into a friend from Ocala - he was there because his dad was covering the game for Ocala radio! Preston and Parker had gone through most of elementary school together and played baseball together too. Here's Parker and Wesley hanging out on the fence line with Preston and some of their new friends from church/school here while at the game.

We caught a little rain towards the end of the game but it wasn't enough to drive us away. Unfortunately the Forest Wildcats got the best of us at the end of the game and ending up winning 31-17. But it was still a lot of fun for an evening. The boys all had fun watching the band perform too before the game and during halftime and Davis started copying the moves of the drum majors!
