Thursday night was the first games for Upwards Sports at church. It was really neat to see all of the church people out as coaches, running concessions, serving as referees and timekeepers! Wesley and Davis played in the first games at 6:30pm on the same team - they are on the Tigers with Coach Norm.
It took Davis until the 6th and final period before he decided that he wanted to get out on the court and play. He did a great job running back and forth up the court and trying to guard his guy.
Parker's game started at 7:30 and he played on the Bulldogs with Coach Kelly. For the first two weeks, there is no score kept in the games so that the kids have more of a chance to practice and get used to the fundamentals.
