Sunday in worship we celebrated Baptism of the Lord Sunday and invited everyone in all three services to come up and remember their baptism, taking a stone from the bowls of water up front. It was also a special Sunday in the 9:30am service - they were celebrating one year since the dedication of the permanent stage in the Family Life Center and moving to that space for worship. We had one of the highest attended Sundays in that service today as well with 326.
After the 9:30am service the Standifer family took Parker with them to lunch and then to a Robotics Skills event at Carver Middle School. We met up with them later on at the school. Despite some valiant effort in rebuilding their robot on site before the driving and programming skills, Parker and his team did not qualify for the state tournament.
