We've had such fun with Stop Hunger Now meal packing in the past but it was entirely new to our Community UMC family. This last weekend we packed over 20,000 meals for Stop Hunger Now in the Family Life Center. We asked for 100 volunteers and had 150 volunteers present to help out!!! All working together towards the same goal, we were able to pack all those meals in just a little over 90 minutes!
It was SO wonderful to see everyone of different ages and from different worship services working alongside one another. And the bigger blessing is of course that we we accomplished will make a tremendous difference in the lives of hungry children around the world.
