New Fur Baby

Debbie has wanted a corgi for over 20 years. Early in our marriage, we felt like we didn't have a lifestyle that was conducive to a dog. Since getting Bella 4.5 years ago, we have become dog people! Over the last year, Debbie has spent time looking for a corgi. Unfortunately, the prices for a puppy from a breeder are still prohibitive for us. And we really didn't want to go back to the puppy stage if we could help it either. So Debbie has been looking for a corgi from rescues or a private owner that needed to be rehomed. After our disappointing experience last month, she found another corgi near Ocala and went back and forth with the owner over a couple of weeks. Last week we drove up to Ocala to Tuscawilla Park to meet the dog. We took the whole family, including Bella. The corgi and Bella got along great. He adored the boys, especially Davis. These are the pictures from his ad - his name then was Ares.

He came home today and has been renamed Prince Caspian, from the Chronicles of Narnia book series. A good British name for a British dog. Caspian is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi with coloring that is a cross of brindle and merle.

Davis is so happy to have a dog his size that he can walk!
He must have thanked us 50x today for the corgi.
