Back to School

This letter came in my email on Wednesday. I am going back to school starting in January after almost 20 years since I got my Master's degree (graduated in May of 2001). I've always known that I wanted to go back to get my Doctor of Ministry degree. My dad fully embraced and supported this dream and tried to find a way for me to go back and do this when Parker and Wesley were little. Earlier this year I heard the Spirit saying it was time to embrace this dream again. I will be attending Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary (an official UM seminary) on the campus of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, just north of Chicago. This hybrid program allows me to continue pastoring at the church while in school and also allows for some lasses to be taken in person as well as online. At the end of three years (and a dissertation) I should get my degree. I am very excited to start classes in January online.
