Wednesday we got out early to beat the rain and went to Gorges State Park to hike. We haven't done this trail since 2017. Four miles roundtrip to see four waterfalls! The elevation change was 976 feet and boy did we feel it.
Waterfall 1 - Hidden Falls
Waterfall 2 - Rainbow Falls - this one is 150 feet, making it one of the tallest in the area.
Waterfall 3 - Turtleback Falls
Waterfall #4 - Drift Falls. This is as close as you can get to this one, because it's actually located on private property and there are warning signs about not getting any closer.
There was still several hours until sunset when we left, but the storm clouds were starting to roll in.
Later in between rainstorms I went back to Fairfield Lake again.
This is the hill that the original Fairfield Inn sat on many years ago, overlooking the lake.
