We had a few days in between vacation at the beginning of June and Annual Conference in Lakeland. Daryl got to perform a baptism at Grace UMC in church that Sunday.
And I had the opportunity to spend an afternoon in Boca Grande with Dr. Martyn Atkins and his wife Helen, thanking them for their service in the FLUMC this past year. Dr. Atkins is the past General Secretary of the British Methodist Church and he has been on loan to us and is retiring and heading back to Great Britain later this month.
