On Friday we drove up to Hudson Florida to officiate at a memorial service.
When I served at Faith UMC Hudson (2004-2009), we became friends with Jim and Wendy Bath, who often babysat the boys for us. A few years back, Jim and Wendy drove up to Fruitland Park so the Daryl and I could officiate over their 40th vow renewal. Jim passed away recently after heart surgery and Wendy reached out to see if we could come up and do the service.
There were several families from Faith Church who made it over to the funeral home and it was so good to see all of them and reminisce. It was a lovely tribute to Jim and we were so glad to be able to help Wendy out. They were always such special people and so welcoming to our family.
