The week started on Saturday with me leading the memorial service at the United Women in Faith annual event at First UMC in Lakeland.
Then on Sunday it was off to more charge conferences: Nancy and I worshipped at Lighthouse UMC in Boca Grande and did their charge conference after.
Next up was Gulf Cove UMC in Port Charlotte. They just signed a contract for their roof repair after the Hurricane!
We did one charge conference at a church that is disaffiliating and then it was on to another staying UMC: Trinity UMC in North Port. Notice the tarps on their roofs too? This whole area was badly impacted by the hurricane.
Wednesday night my week intersected with Daryl's when I led their charge conference at Grace UMC in Venice. They had 49 people come out for the gathering which is way more than I had anticipated. Daryl rightfully took a moment to enjoy that in our gathering.
And my last charge conference of the week was on Thursday night at First UMC Sarasota where the district office is located.
