Tuesday Tidings

After the picnic on Sunday afternoon, the family came back to our house for a while. Miss Joan had hemmed some curtains for the master bedroom and we hung them up - they look great! Uncle Daniel and his crew stuck around for dinner. We ordered in pizza and the cousins had a picnic on the floor while the adults got to sit at the table (plus Wesley).

We had a lot of fun hanging out and playing some Wii. The kids were all running, even if they didn't have a remote. And then everyone was trying to do the yoga poses on Wii Fit.

On Monday, Mommy and Daddy had date day again. We had a wonderful lunch at Panera BRead and then went to the Old Mill Playhouse at Lake Sumter Landings in the Villages to see "The Proposal." It was a really cute movie. Afterwards we did some window shopping including this store called Caribongo where all the black and white t-shirt designs change to colors in the sun.

And then today, Parker got to go see another movie with school. He was very excited because this time they saw Kung Fu Panda - a movie on our DVR that he's only gotten to see parts of. In the afternoon we dropped off Parker's paperwork at South Ocala Elementary to register him for kindergarten. They have staggered start here in Marion County for kindergarteners, meaning that the first week of school he will either go on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and then go both Thursday and Friday. We'll get a letter soon letting us know what day he goes and also to schedule some preliminary testing. And then tonight for dinner we went over to the Greenes from Daddy's church. They have young grandchildren so they had a lot of cool toys in their living room - including several Hess trucks - that fascinated Parker and Wesley. We had a wonderful meal and great time visiting with them this evening.
