The Rocking Chair


Mommy first saw this rocking chair when she was five years old and traveled to visit her Grandma and Grandpa Keller at their home in Huntington, Indiana. This rocking chair sat in their living room and was Grandpa's favorite spot to sit and read the newspaper. This rocking chair had belonged to his father, the Rev. Walter D. Keller. When Grandma and Grandpa decided to sell their house in Huntington several years ago, they gifted us with a few pieces of furniture including this rocking chair. When we first got it, we were living in Fort Myers and it was part of Parker's nursery. When we moved to Hudson, the chair spent some time in our living room before being moved into the boys' room. Now here in Ocala, the rocking chair graces our family room. Both of the boys have been rocked to sleep many a time in this special rocking chair and Wesley still enjoys a good snuggle here in the evening, especially with a sippy cup full of milk in his hand.
