Downtown Ocala

For date day today, Mommy and Daddy stayed in Ocala, did some birthday/Christmas shopping for the boys and went to Regal Cinemas to catch the 3D version of the new Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey - very good! Then it was lunch at Crispers which was super yummy! After we picked up Parker, we decided to tool around downtown Ocala for a while. Light Up Ocala, when they light the town Christmas tree is on the 21st and there were men out in bucket trucks around the square getting a jump on lighting up some of the trees around downtown. We visited the thrift store Brother's Keeper, found the hair salon Neon recommended by one of Mommy's friends (although it was closed), wandered into a neat gift store called The Lime Cabinet, visited Priceless Scrapbooks where they have classes and all kinds of neat stuff, and ventured into a pricey Persian rug store where all we could afford was a rug the size of a placemat! Parker loved walking around downtown, especially the square because there are five decorated life-size horse statues there leftover from Horse Fever in 2001. He wanted his picture taken with every single one!!!!

This was Mommy's favorite with the manatees painted on it!
