Cub Scout Car Wash

Our Saturday began bright and early with a 9:00am t-ball game at Jervey Gantt Park. In the first inning Parker got a pop fly on his very first pitch and played third base in the outfield. In the second inning, Parker got a pop fly on his third pitch and played shortstop. All the kids on his team got really good hits today!

Next up was a trip to the Ocala Arts Festival at the McPherson Government Complex. We walked around for an hour checking out the hundreds of amazing exhibits of photography, woodworking, pottery, jewelry and all kinds of other stuff!

Then it was off to work in the sun at Parker's first Cub Scout Car Wash. The entire family put in an hour washing cars - including the Malibu! Wesley is still too young to understand that this was actually work and he desperately wanted to help. All the kids did a pretty good job aided by the parents.
We ran home to change out of our muddy clothes and headed to lunch at Zaxby's before bowling. Today Parker bowled a 38 and a 49. We also found out that his average is a 47 and his handicap is a 122! He really loves bowling although he gets frustrated with the amount of gutter balls now that the bumpers are gone. But the father and son he plays with on his team are so sweet and supportive of him.

When we came home after all of today's busyness, the little people and even the grownups crashed out hard!
