Last Friday night, our Friday Night Lights involved a football field, but no football game. Instead Ocala Parks and Recreation sponsored a free Movie in the Park on the football field at Jervey Gantt Park. They had a large inflatable screen that they put up midfield and showed "Shrek Forever After." The Parks Department also handed out free popcorn and lemonade. We took our lawn chairs and some blankets and hung out on the field to watch the movie with our friends - Christy and her daughters Shelby and Abby.
The ladies at the concession stand kept telling everybody to come back and get more because they had plenty. Wesley took them at their word and must have made about 10 trips to get make sure our group had plenty of snacks and drinks! We all had a good time and are looking forward to the next one which will be at the Jervey Gantt pool in July.
