Generosity

Out of the blue yesterday Daryl received a phone call at his church from Mrs. Robles, Parker's teacher for kindergarten and second grade. She was cleaning out her son's closet at her house on spring break and wanted to know if she could drop by some clothes.

This is the second time that she has gifted us with clothes - most of Parker's winter wardrobe including his jackets this year came from the Robles family at the end of his second grade year. We are touched by her generosity of spirit - she has been a blessing to us with our adoption as well, writing a reference letter for our dossier. But we were completely overwhelmed by what we received this time....

53 different pieces of clothing in size 10-12

That's 2 belts, 1 pair of dress socks, 1 knit hat, 2 pair of swim trunks, 2 lined hooded jackets, 1 hooded sweatshirt, 6 pairs of athletic shorts, 7 pairs of regular shorts, 7 pairs of athletic pants, 2 pairs dress pants, 1 dress shirt, 1 navy blazer, 11 t-shirts, 4 athletic wick shirts and 5 polo shirts. It's all in amazing condition. And Parker was thrilled by it - especially the jackets and the t-shirts - there were 3 Wimpy Kid shirts, 1 Gators shirt as well as a Rays shirt!

Just like that, he has an amazing new wardrobe to grow into.
What an unexpected blessing!

We are so thankful for the way that the Lord continues to provide for our family.
Just a few days ago, one of Daryl's church members let us know that Druid Hills UMC
is planning a "toddler shower" for Davis in April.
And we are so thankful to those who have responded to the Lord's leading
and have shared so generously with us.
