On Sunday at Belleview UMC we celebrated our 3rd Annual Church Has Left The Building Event. So instead of having our regular worship services, we went out into the community to do some service projects. My team included both Parker and Wesley and we went along with some friends to Shepherd's Lighthouse in town to do some painting. Shepherd's Lighthouse is a mission for homeless women and children in town - that is housed in the old sanctuary for BUMC, which they sold in 1976 when they moved to their current site. We fixed up the lattice work around the base of the stairs and repainted the porch, stairs, railing and wooden platform. If the amount of paint on our clothes was any indication of our enjoyment, then we had WAY too much fun!
