Anniversary Weekend

Last Friday, Daryl and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary.

In very exciting fashion we spent the morning of our anniversary organizing the garage and attic of our new house! But we have had some exciting moments in worship in the past couple of weeks at Community.  Here we are co-preaching at the 9:30am Contemporary Service on July 5th.

And this past weekend we got to do a baptism for one of the families at the 9:30 service. This little guy was such a sweetheart about the whole thing.

We did get an opportunity to get away overnight for our anniversary. We took the boys to spend the weekend with Grandmommy and Granddaddy before heading off to the beach to do a wedding for our babysitter extraordinaire in Ocala - Miss Kelly. She became Mrs. Hollars this weekend.

We enjoyed a movie and dinner out on Saturday. The boys had fun with Grandmommy and Granddaddy and got to sneak in a day of VBS in Seffner and also spend some time with their cousins before the grandparents brought them home in time for the 11am worship service on Sunday. We're so glad that they were able to be there for Daryl's first time solo preaching at Community.

It's been a whirlwind couple of weeks with our move, but it is a tremendous blessing to be able to serve a single church together. We get to spend so much time together it almost feels like a vacation; that's a great anniversary present! Davis was super confused the first Sunday we headed off to worship because Daryl got in the car with us - he was convinced that Baba needed to head off to his own church. When he finally realized that we all get to go to church together now, he was so excited!
