Monday night found us at the middle school so that Parker could be inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. He received a notice indicating that he qualified academically a few months ago and then he had to fill out the application packet. Parker had to solicit 3 recommendations from adults not related to him (including at least one from a teacher), we had to sign a form giving him permission, and he had to write an essay. After his packet was considered, he received notice two weeks ago that he had been selected. It was a very nice ceremony and we are very proud of Parker for all of his hard work and achievements.
