It's time for the summer baseball series in Central Florida again!!!! We made it to the home opener for the Leesburg Lightning last night. The mayor threw out the ball to get everything started.
We love this field with the view of Lake Harris right behind the trees.
We love the fact that all of these games are free! Plus we ran into several church families and had a good time visiting with them as well as watching the game. We left after the 5th inning because it was already 9:30 (there had been a 30 minute weather delay at one point because of lightning in nearby Weirsdale). The Leesburg Lightning were down 3-2 when we left; they need up winning in the 12th inning with a walk off home run!
