Weekend Adventures in Tampa

This was the boys on the way down to Tampa, before all the adventuring started! They had a friend over the night before and stayed up super late!

We got to Tampa in the late afternoon and our first stop was the Art of the Brick Exhibit. This is a free exhibit for the summer sponsored by the Vinik Family Foundation that owns the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Tampa Bay Storm. The exhibit was just a couple of blocks away from Amalie Arena, where both teams play. We met up with Grandmommy and Granddaddy and the cousins Kayla and Bethany. What an incredible exhibit!! The kids loved the Legos and the grownups especially loved all the art and sculpture pieces at the end.

We walked to nearby Channelside for dinner afterwards and had some yummy pizza!

And then it was time for the main event of the evening - watching an Arena Football game - the Tampa Bay Storm versus the Washington Valor.

Uncle Kelly and Uncle Nam also came to the game with Nam's two brothers and parents and nephew.  The kids all spent some time hanging out with Uncle Nam and Uncle Kelly goofing around on the deck.

There was a go cart race on the field at halftime and the guy from our section won - so our whole section received vouchers to return to a future Storm home game for free!

The final score - 55 to 51! Storm win! It was a great game!

These two were exceedingly glad to celebrate a victory!
