Last week's church life included a huge celebration in worship for our Children's Minister Faye Umble, as we marked her 10th anniversary of service to Community United Methodist Church. There was a video, a huge basket of cards and gifts from the people in the church and also a Mayoral Proclamation making last Sunday "Faye Umble Day" in Fruitland Park.
And then on Tuesday we hosted the employees of the City of Fruitland Park for a special Thank You Luncheon. We're especially grateful for how our police, firefighters, EMTs and public works employees have responded in the wake of Hurricane Irma here in town. We had so many church people volunteer to help here that we had a waiting list!!
