8th Grade Promotion - On to High School!

This morning was Parker's last day of 8th grade.

For comparison, the picture on the left is the first day of middle school in 2015 vs today!

Carver Middle School held their 8th grade Promotion Ceremony in the gymnasium at school. They really did a great job with the organization and the whole ceremony today.

Processing into the gym.

The current principal Mrs. Kelley-Truitt, introducing the former retired principal, Mrs. Cunningham, who came back to share a few words with the students.

Parker received the President's Award for Academic Achievement for having maintained a 3.5 GPA and getting a 4 on both of his FSA tests.

Parker also received an award from his Culinary teacher Mrs. May for passing the Food Safety Service Professionals Exam earlier this year.

Here he is with his promotion certificate and pin!

One final chance for all the graduates to share their Raider Nation pledge together.

Parker with Lexie and Bellamy - friends from church and band. There were 9 kids total from our church who graduated today - we just couldn't find everyone in the crush of people afterwards.

Proud parents!

So happy that Grandmommy and Grandaddy could come up to share in Parker's special day.

We went to lunch in The Villages at VKI Japanese Steakhouse.

Bella was super glad to see Grandmommy and Granddaddy too!

Congratulations Parker! Next stop Leesburg High School!
