Parker's Mission Trip

Last week was Parker's second mission trip, this time to Atlanta. The group stayed at two different UMC churches in the greater Atlanta area and worked with M25 learning a lot of about the causes of homelessness and reaching out to homeless people. Parker and the other youth worked in the Atlanta Food Bank, handed out meals to homeless people in parks and under overpasses, served meals in homeless shelters and visited a men's recovery shelter. They had a little bit of downtime at night in the church's spacious youth rooms and then on Friday they visited the Georgia Aquarium, ate at the Varsity and visited Ponce Inlet Market. He had a really good time. Here's a few pictures taken by some of the youth volunteers and the Aquarium pictures at the end came from Parker.
