We hiked the 2 mile loop out to the cliff face of Whiteside Mountain. We've done this loop before but even from the moment we pulled into the parking lot we knew that this time would be different - the cold temperatures and the thin air meant that we had icicles on the rock walls. The boys were fascinated by the icicles and were constantly stopping to check them out - and break them off to carry around as long as they could stand it in their hands.
