For much of the last week, Davis has been throwing up after every meal; sometimes before he finishes up. He didn't have any other symptoms other than some stomach pain. Two visits to the pediatrician and they thought he might have reflux. But the medicine they gave him didn't really help. So by Friday he had lost six pounds. And since it was going to take 2 months to get into a gastro doctor, we went to the ER in Venice.

Four hours later - blood tests, urinalysis and a CT scan with contrast - we had a diagnosis of gastritis. They gave him some medicine to numb his esophagus and stomach and another medicine to add to the other one. Thankfully all of that has helped him keep food down and not be in pain.
