My Big Birthday Trip - Part Two - Disney Wonder First Two Days

On Sunday night, Amy and I arrived at the Vancouver train station and took a cab to our hotel, the Pan Pacific Hotel at Canada Place (which is also where the convention center and cruise port are in the same building). Our room was on the 22nd floor and we went up to the 23rd floor in the building to the club lounge for breakfast. We were also able to give our bags to the hotel concierge and they went straight onto the ship into our stateroom. We wandered around a little bit in the area before heading into the cruise port.

Amy made all of these awesome decorations for our door to celebrate my birthday. We were on the 7th floor in the back of the ship which turned out to be an awesome location.

These two videos actually were taken at the end of the trip because I forgot to take some earlier.

Daryl's birthday happy cruise gifts for me (and Amy!) were waiting when we walked inside our room.

As we sailed away, they played "When We Wish Upon A Star".

We wandered around the ship and hung out a bit on the deck chairs before going to the Sail A Wave party.

We went to the adult Azure Lounge after dinner for the Dueling Pianos who were amazing! They played requests only by memory!

We saw some other characters out for meet and greets and waved to Minnie as she headed in for the night.

Our first "towel" animal - they used the blanket on the bed to make a crab.

Our second day on the ship was at sea, as we headed towards a glacier. It was chilly on deck so we made sure to bundle up.

Then we headed to our reservation for the Princess Party in the atrium to see
Belle, Ariel, Cinderella and Tiana.

We found these fun windows to hang out in for a bit before going to play bingo. Amy was one number away from winning but alas no luck.

We had late seating dinner which meant early shows - the first night's show was The Golden Mickeys in the Walt Disney Theater.

Every night there were multiple scenes set up in the atrium for photopass pictures. We had so much fun getting to know the photopass folks throughout the cruise.

They also took pictures at dinner. Our tablemates were Disney travel buddies from Atlanta (Chloe) and Boston (Dyan)  and they made us laugh and laugh.

Our treat at dinner that night in Animator's Palate restaurant, was Sorcerer Mickey himself!

After dinner we wandered out to see the sunset - at 10:30pm!

Our lobster blanket animal.
