What's Up With Us

Yesterday Daddy got the opportunity to preach at Clearview UMC in St. Petersburg. The pastor there was on the Board of Ordained Ministry that approved Daddy last week. He got to preach at their 8am and 10:30am services and also do the children's moment. Cousin Sam was staying with us for the weekend, so he went with Daddy for moral support.

The neat thing was that the church had put these little insert cards in all of the bulletins:

Daddy and Sam didn't get home until 1:30pm and shortly after Mommy had to head back to church to lead a New Member class. But then we all finally got to be home at the same time to watch the Superbowl. Miss Leslie and Miss Rael came over and brought dinner and we had a great time.

This morning Daddy headed out to Orlando for a couple of days. He only needs five hours of classes this semester and is taking a three credit class online and two one credit hour classes on campus. The first one of these involves attending a seminar this week called Kingdom Encounter, reading a couple of books and writing a paper. Daddy was excited about the seminar because former Gator Danny Wuerffel will be speaking as well as the theologian Tyron Inbody. So it's just Mommy and the boys hanging out at the house (and trying to get some work done) until Daddy comes home on Wednesday afternoon.
